On the floor, a pile of bamboo canes, thread, rope... In his workshop, a craftsman is busy weaving. A visitor disturbs his concentration: she approaches, distracts him, bumps into him... Little by little, the two become comfortable with each other. A bond forms between them, allowing them to reach the heights of their dreams. Together, they begin to build.

A story of self-discovery, of a desire for heights, of a will to grow, of that essential need to create, to tame the other and the material in order to give shape to one's cocoon of life... A fragile and poetic moment that touches the very young and the very old!

STATEMENT OF INTENT

Bamboo and the tensegrity structure that is built in full view are central to the performance. It's a wordless show, a duet where body, matter, and music converge around a live construction. "Bamboo at the End" is a show about taming—the domestication of form and matter, but also of others. We wanted to share with very young children the emotions that construction evokes: to develop the research begun with the show "Guaduas en Vivo" and adapt it for a very young audience, particularly impressed by the builder's actions in that show. Quite simply, we wanted to share the world of this adult show with them, this time with a project whose form would be adapted to their age and which tells a powerful story about encounter and mutual support...
