Continuum... a dreamlike journey through time, space and matter, in installations in constant mutation.

Four individuals, manipulators of objects, sound, and light, compose a constantly evolving space and experiment with the possibilities of a living architecture with variable geometry. They explore different perspectives and possible variations: structures come to life, collapse, transform... Continuum is a laboratory of exploration, a journey through bodies within matter. An abstract and contemplative universe that gives rise to visual allegories and questions the principles of permanence...

Continuum is a tribute to the inventors-architects-designers who are reflecting on the adaptability of architecture to the environment and is strongly inspired by the concept of "ephemeralization" developed by Buckminster-Fuller (1895-1983, philosopher-architect-designer with a strong planetary consciousness), who advocated a futuristic ideal of "doing more with less".

For this project, Anatole Zembok and Christine Pierre continue their research on the relationship between body and object through the live construction of evolving structures (based on the architectural principles of tensegrity, dynamic and deployable structures, and the use of low-tech systems). They collaborate with ORK (Samuel Klein and Olivier Maurel) for the sound design (raw, organic, and electronic material: a "continuum" architecture of sound).
